catch up post

It has been forever since I got on and blogged. So much is going on here I don't even know where to start. Basketball will be wrapping up in the next two weeks. I have mixed feelings about that, sad-because I love basketball and watching my kids do things that they love, happy-because we will have a little down time before we are playing baseball/softball. Practice will be going on but no games for about a month. We just love to go to watch the kids play, they make us so proud!! First semester is over now and we had some wonderful grades brought home. The kids work so hard to keep good grades even though we seem to be on the run doing things everyday!! We think sometimes about trying to slow down, but then they would have to give something up, just can't imagine asking them to do that. Here are just a few snapshots from over this last month, I can't get pictures at the games because I am always to worked up, haha!

New Baby

MaKenzie received a phone call on Saturday afternoon that has blessed us with a new baby!! The Hensley family, who MaKenzie purchased Rose and Azalea from, had an orphaned baby that they wanted to give her. She is so sweet!! She is now five days old and has to be bottle fed every four hours or so. MaKenzie doesn't want to let her out of her sight. She even had to be convinced that Bitsy, did not need to go to church this morning. Thank you so much to the Hensley family, we are truly blessed to know you. You have made one little girl so very happy!!

basketball

We went to West Side this morning for MaKenzie's game. They walked away with an easy win of 20-1! After watching the 4th grade boys and 5th grade girls, who MaKayla is the assistant coach of, we are now back at Southside for MaKayla's practice. She has practice at 1:30 but we needed to get here early so MaKenzie could shoot a while before the practice starts! Its not like she hasn't played two games this week, has two games this up and coming week, and has practiced with the junior girls two times this week already! We HAD to shoot for a bit! The teams are both doing really well. MaKayla's team has really came a long way this year! The new coach is amazing with the girls! They absolutely love her! MaKenzie's team is still undefeated! They are doing amazing! So that is what is going on with us right now. We will be in Guy, Mt. Vernon, Redfield, and at South Side twice this week if you are looking for us!
