catching up with odds and ends

I realize that I could go down in the blogging books as the worlds worst blogger!! I am going to try and make up for that. So much has happened since I was last on. We went to state fair (no camera), had our youth rodeo (no camera), played our first basketball game (again with the camera thing),finished up with fall ball, MaKenzie had a birthday, and are in the middle of spirit week at school. Basketball for MaKayla is going ok, she is a starter on the jr. high team, which is great for an eight grader. She really tries hard and is a hustler. State fair was pretty good, they placed in the top 10 which is great for having 20+ goats in their class. We had our youth rodeo and it was so much fun!! Everyone there seemed to have a good time. MaKenzie had her 10th birthday this week! Yes, I said 10! She is such a wonderful child, seems so much older than 10 to us, thanks to hanging out with the older kids her whole life! She wanted to go to see High School Musical 3 for her birthday! It opened on Friday, so I take her, two friends, MaKayla and Cade to try to see this movie that people are going crazy about. We get there early and are first in line, the girls didn't even want the workers to get in the door in front of them. They were so excited, me and Cade, not so much. Anyone who knows what the movie is about and knows me, knows that I would have rather been anywhere else, haha! What we do for our kids!! We are all doing great, still busy, fall festival is this weekend, can't say that I will be sad when it is over. MaKayla is playing ball a few nights a week, MaKenzie is practicing, we committed MaKall to a tournament team that will be playing all over. Yeah, we are crazy! Again, what we do for those kids!!

opportunity tickets

As I write this MaKenzie is selling raffle tickets at the Fish House. She smiles pretty and it seems to work for her. The people are buying, she has a cute little sales pitch all worked out. For some it just takes the sight of a child fundraising for their school and out comes the money. For some it seems nothing short of death would make them turn loose of the almighty dollar! Watching people is one of my favorite pastimes as some of you may know, so this doesn't bother me to sit out with her. If she wants to do well for her class I will sure help her try! The generosity of some people amaze me, just as the seemingly act of greed of others does! anyway, I guess I have rambled on enough, not even sure where this post was started to go! However, would you like a Chance to win $3000 and help our school at the same time?!?

MaKayla and MaKenzie in the show ring

OK, I know it has been forever since I was caught up with my blog. I am going to try hard to stay on top of things from now on. We have added a new member of the Mosley family, her name is Tuffy. She is a 7 week old boxer puppy and we are in love with her! She has been so much fun and she is so very smart already. We have had the county and district fairs in the last two weeks. In the meantime, MaKall had regular games, a tournament and MaKenzie has been elected as Fall Festival Queen of her fourth grade class. We are trying to sell some raffle tickets and come up with a fund raiser or two. Any good ideas? We had a really good showing at the fairs. State fair is next week and we are ready. We love the district fair, it is so laid back and easy to enjoy! We stayed with the Sharp's while we were in Melbourne. Mom, the girls and I went on Monday and came home on Tuesday after the goat show. The heifer then had to be up there on Wednesday, MaKayla hitched a ride with Mrs. Teresa. William and I left MaKall's ball game on Thursday and drove up to stay until Saturday night when everything was released. MaKenzie and MaKall went with mom, aunt Beck, and uncle Bear to the Cowboy's for Christ play day on Saturday. They had a great time! These are just a few pictures from the last week or so!
