The fair's in town.....or out of town !?!?!

We have been at the District Fair in Melbourne, Arkansas. Wow, what a place. We did learn some things in Melbourne. 1. It is hard to find a good place to eat in some places, Melbourne, is one of those places. 2. I, probably do not make the best chaperon, unless you are asking the kids. 3. You can put a lot of kids in a hotel room. 4. It is not hard to spend a large amount of money on cinnamon twist at Taco Bell. 5. The whistle goes, woot woot. (haha) It was a good week and we enjoyed ourselves a lot. The kids made a pretty good showing with the pigs, and now everyone is glad to be back home. We have two weeks until the State Fair. It is a little fast for us, Melbourne is more our style. I did not get any good showing pictures, I will get some posted as soon as I can get them. I have a few snapshots I wanted to share, snapshots are my favorites.

How Cute Is He??!!??!!

I could not resist putting this picture of Luke on here! Is that not the sweetest thing ever!

Go Hogs!!

MaKenzie, who normally can't stand her brother, usually picks out his clothes for school. She doesn't want him to embarrass her "dressed stupid" is her reasoning behind it. Today she picked out matching clothes for them, her's a pink Razorback jersey of course. Sort of makes them look more like twins, but don't tell her that. I just thought it was cute and worth sharing.

Dausen & Boop
MaKenzie showing Pokey
Zach & MaKall, ready for the show
Mr. Breeding & MaKall, sort of brings back memories
Thought I would add a few more snapshots from the fair. Some aren't very good but it's hard to get a good picture of a moving child and animal all at the same time.

Here are the pictures from the fair. We had a wonderful week. We came home with three first place ribbons, a second place ribbon, a third place ribbon, and a fifth place ribbon. We also came home with two showmanship chairs. For three kids and four animals, we made a good showing at the fair. More important than all of that was the wonderful time we all had.

Wagon Races

Well, we are finally home. Its seems like forever since I have seen the computer. Nine nights and ten days could be considered too long. I guess that would be judged on who you were talking to. It was hot and dusty for most of the week and very hot and dusty for the rest of the week. It was also a lot of fun!! William and the kids never want it to end, I enjoy the people watching and the excitement of the races. The concerts were all good and everyone loved dancing and goofing off to the music. MaKayla was excited to be racing with her dad and Colby this year. I was maybe a little less excited than them, haha. MaKall, who turned seven last week, rode a bull at one of the clinics that was held. MaKenzie just enjoys being around all of the horses and trying to learn to rope from "her brother Jeffrey". All of the kids seemed to have a wonderful time. Dausen and MaKayla wanted to ride every second that they could. MaKall, MaKenzie and Mason took advantage of not going to school for a couple of days and just had a ball. Everything went great until Saturday afternoon when Lonnie took a horrible fall when the out riding horse went down. After an ambulance ride to Clinton hospital and a William ride to Conway, he endured surgery on Sunday morning to piece together a badly broken leg. With lots of prayers and lots of patience, he will be fine and ready to "Baboon" again in no time.
